GI - Pro Patrol 107 versus the AK Offstreet 103
- I'm trying to decide between the Pro Patrol 107
and the AK Offstreet 103
The main difference
between the Patrol & the AK is deck size &
construction. The patrol features the Bomberlite
construction-- which adds strength & pop to the
deck. Ground Industries be releasing a new version
of the Bomberlite Patrol & flight in January 2006
with even better construction. They have also raised
the retail price on this board a bit for 2006.
The Patrol also has a
wider stance than the AK which is good for bigger
riders (the Patrol is also an excellent down hill
Freeride board for someone 175-225 lbs). The AK
offers high end components on an entry level deck.
The AK deck is straight up Canadian Maple with out
any composite material in its construction. For the
average person kiting-- the AK is a better option
than the patrol, but for ultimate performance-- the
Bomberlite Flight is more bang for your buck.
